Dalhousie, September 18

The district administration has started preparations for the National Himalayan 9th Dragon Boat Race Competition at the Taleru boating point of the Chamera lake near Dalhousie in Chamba district from October 9 to 12.

Official communiqué said here today that the mega event of the competition would be organised by the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association. As many as 1,000 participants from 23 states would participate. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
