Drang, Mandi (Sadar) segments get Rs 46.8 crore development projects
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of nine development projects worth Rs 46.82 crore for the Drang and Sadar Assembly constituencies in Mandi today while participating in the Mahashivratri festival inaugural function.
He inaugurated two libraries, one each at Nerchowk and Padhar, under the ‘Apna Pustkalay’ programme initiated by the district administration.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the work to upgrade and strengthen the sub market yard, Takoli, at a cost of Rs 5.28 crore and a Rs 12.44 crore bridge over the Uhl river at Kamand on the Mandi-Kamand-Kataula-Bajaura road in the Drang Assembly segment.
He also inaugurated a Rs 1.33 crore DNA block of the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory and two bridges — one built over the Ganpati Nullah on the Ganpati Ki Road at a cost of Rs 2.08 crore and the other on the Randhara-Alathu via Chachola road stretch for Rs 3.15 crore and a Block Development Office building at Mandi built at a cost of Rs 3.82 crore.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the landslide mitigation work near the Vishwakarma temple in Mandi, earthquake retrofitting works in various blocks of Vallabh Government Degree College and laid the foundation stone of the Sikkan Mutt-Kasan via Moregaloo road.
