Nisha Bhaluni, the newly appointed Deputy Director of Elementary Education, directed all Block Education Officers to focus on enhancing the quality of basic education to rebuild public trust in government schools. She made these remarks during an online meeting with Block Elementary Education Officers from Shimla’s 21 education blocks.

Bhaluni emphasised regular school visits to monitor educational quality, assess building construction and oversee renovation projects to ensure effective utilisation of government funds and facilities. She urged officers to prioritise educational standards and actively implement department programme at the grassroots level.

She highlighted the importance of resolving issues such as court cases, daily teacher and student attendance through Vidya Review Centres, exam discussions, and utility certificates under programs like ULLAS. Officers were encouraged to address these matters promptly for efficient programme execution.
