Dy Speaker: Provide free soaps to MGNREGA workers

HP Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hans Raj issued instructions to officials on how to quickly resolve the issues of farmers and orchardists during the lockdown period.

While presiding over a review meeting at Tissa in Chamba district today regarding arrangements made for preventive measures against Covid-19, he asked the block development officer (BDO) to ensure free soaps to poor people who were earning their livelihood under the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) scheme.

The Deputy Speaker also asked the local administration to form joint teams consisting of local teachers, anganwari workers and employees of panchayati raj institutions (PRIs) to ensure the supply of essential items to people ward-wise.
