The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has initiated the e-KYC process of all 60,079 social security pensioners in Sirmaur district. The exercise is being carried out through the Kalyan Mobile App by Anganwadi workers, who are verifying beneficiaries’ Aadhaar details, date of birth, mobile numbers, permanent addresses and other updated information on the basis of valid documents.
District Welfare Officer Vivek Arora informed the verification work for the majority of pensioners has already been completed. He appealed to the remaining pensioners to get their details verified by their respective Anganwadi workers before September 30, 2025.
Arora emphasised that timely verification is essential to ensure uninterrupted pension benefits. He said the updated digital process would not only streamline records but also help in transparent delivery of welfare schemes to genuine beneficiaries.
Officials noted that Anganwadi workers are playing a crucial role in reaching out to pensioners at the grassroots level, ensuring that no eligible person is left out of the process. The department has urged beneficiaries to cooperate fully by providing the latest and correct information to facilitate smooth completion of the e-KYC drive.
