E-taxis approved for 2 applicants, says Shimla DC

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap today said two applicants had been approved for e-taxi in the district under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Startup Yojana.

Chairing a district-level meeting under the scheme, the DC said the beneficiaries include Sandeep Kumar, son of Man Singh, a resident of Mashobra block in Junga tehsil, and Ishwar Das, son of Thakur Das and a resident of Jhakri block in Rampur tehsil.

He said seven applications had been approved under the scheme so far. The DC appealed to other eligible unemployed youth to come forward to take advantage of the scheme. He added that under the scheme, 50 per cent amount will be given to the youth as subsidy for e-taxi.

Committee member secretary and District Employment Officer Devendra Kumar, members RTO Anil Sharma, DRDA project officer Karthik and LDM UCO Bank Kulwant were also present at the meeting.
