Billing Nala, nestled near Keylong in the picturesque Lahaul and Spiti district, is fast becoming a must-visit destination in the Lahaul Valley. Surrounded by pristine landscapes and crisp mountain air, this serene spot has caught the attention of travellers seeking peace and authenticity.

Adding a unique cultural touch, the women’s self-help group “Sange” from Lower Keylong has introduced a fast food van at Billing Nala. This grassroots initiative not only supports women’s empowerment but also promotes local Himachali cuisine to tourists. Visitors can enjoy freshly cooked local delicacies like veg momos, siddu—a traditional steamed bread of Himachal — omelettes, and sweet tea. All dishes are made on the spot by the women of the group, ensuring both freshness and traditional flavour. A standout feature of the location is the naturally sourced mountain spring water—cool, oxygen-rich, and especially refreshing for travellers arriving from the plains.

Tourists often stop here not just for the food or the view, but for a wholesome experience that blends nature, taste, and community spirit. The spot offers a peaceful pause in the journey, helping visitors reconnect with nature and local traditions.

“Billing Nala stands as a shining example of eco-tourism and community participation, offering both cultural connection and natural retreat,” said Mohan Lal Relingpa, a local resident. Billing Nala is now more than just a scenic stop—it’s a refreshing slice of Himachali life served with warmth and purpose.
