Education Minister Rohit Thakur today inaugurated the 22 kV electric substation at Ghungli Dhar in Jubbal, Shimla district. He said the substation would enhance electricity supply in the Jubbal area.

The minister highlighted the modernisation work was completed for Rs 1.17 crore, under the approved budget of Rs 1.22 crore, saving nearly Rs 5 lakh. He emphasised the project was finished in less than two years—well ahead of schedule.

Congratulating the senior engineers and officials of the Electricity Department, Thakur lauded their dedication and efficiency.

He emphasised the state government’s commitment to holistic development. “Development works in the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai constituency are moving ahead. This project is an integral part of the development vision,” he said, reiterating the government’s resolve to improve infrastructure and public services across Himachal Pradesh.
