Notwithstanding deployment of lecturers, the Education Department transferred the school principal early this month leaving the school a headless institution. Later, the department through Deputy Director, Higher Education, Dharamsala, issued office orders on Saturday and deployed four lecturers on deputation making a temporary arrangement to fill vacancies in the school. As per office orders, Sugreev Singh and Kumari Neeraj, English and Hindi lecturers, respectively, from the nearby GSSS, Haarchakian, were deputed at the GSSS, Padhar. They will be on deputation in the school from Monday to Wednesday.

Similarly, Veer Din and Vinay Kumar, history and political science lecturers of the GSSS, Haarchakian, would teach students at Padhar school from Thursday to Saturday every week till posting of regular lecturers.

It may be recalled that in the absence of lecturers, students had started shifting from the GSSS, Padhar, to other schools. Sadhu Ram Rana, a social activist and Om Prakash, president, School Management Committee (SMS), have been flagging the demand for filling vacant posts of school lecturers for the past sometime. After the department made temporary arrangements by sending four lecturers on deputation in the school, they urged the state government for the deployment of regular lecturers and principal at the Padhar school. This school was upgraded from Matric standard to the GSSS in 2016. Only arts subjects are taught in the school. Four posts of school lecturers in English, Hindi, political science and history were created to run this school.
