Employees’ body to hold talks with govt to resolve issues

The Himachal Pradesh Non-Gazetted Employees’ Federation celebrated its 60th State-Level Foundation Day in Chamba, drawing nearly 500 members from various districts for the grand event.

Federation state president Trilok Thakur was the chief guest of the function. He extended warm greetings to all members and office-bearers. He said that the federation had consistently prioritised employee welfare and raised their concerns with conviction.

Speakers at the event announced that the federation would hold structured discussions with the government to resolve pending financial dues of employees. They emphasised that service conditions, promotions, seniority, a transparent transfer policy and timely disbursal of salaries and allowances remain top priorities. They also called for the early convening of the Joint Advisory Committee meeting, greater inclusion of young employees in leadership roles, expansion of the membership drive and specialised training in modern technologies such as e-office and e-filing.

Underscoring the crucial role of employees as the backbone of the state’s development, speakers reaffirmed that safeguarding their interests remains the federation’s foremost commitment. They urged members to uphold discipline, unity and collective responsibility to strengthen the organisation further.

In their closing remarks, federation leaders thanked all participants and reiterated their resolve to continue advocating for employees’ rights with renewed vigour and strategic planning. The event concluded with a strong message of unity, cooperation and dedication to employee welfare.
