Ensure prompt resolution of pending revenue matters, says DC

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap chaired a meeting of the revenue officers of the district here today. He expressed displeasure over the delay in issuing of death certificates to the affected people of the Samej tragedy and grant of special relief package in Chopal.

At the meeting, he said pending revenue matters in the district should be resolved promptly to provide better facilities to the people. He directed the Rampur Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to issue death certificates to the beneficiaries concerned at the earliest.

Apart from this, he said the third instalment of the special relief package in Chopal had not reached the beneficiaries, even though the money had already been released to all SDMs by the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The status of the cases pending for the last two years or longer was also discussed.
