Entrepreneurship centre to be set up at Himachal Pradesh University: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar
Shimla, July 20
An entrepreneurship centre named after Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar will be established in Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) for the youth of the state, said Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar while speaking at the launch of the state chapter of Dr Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce (DACC) today.
He said that Baba Saheb was a social reformer, who exposed the evils of society. The Governor released a concept of the Himachal Chapter of the DACC on the occasion.
The Governor said that today’s youth needed to be educated in such a way that instead of becoming job seekers they could become job givers.
“We can find the answer to this in the Himachal Chapter of the DACC. Our education should also move in that direction where the youth can become job creators,” he added.
Anju Bala, a Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, said that the Central and Himachal governments had implemented many welfare schemes.
She added that the aim of education was not limited to getting jobs but there was need to move towards entrepreneurship as well.
