Neeraj Thakur, a chemistry lecturer in Kullu district, alleged that there were a few mistakes in the chemistry paper of Class XII conducted by the HP board yesterday. He said the discrepancies were found in Series-A paper. Q2 had two correct options. (A and C).

In Q 6, the chemical equation was not correctly balanced and the reagent given was wrong. The Q9 had two incorrect statements. (B and D). In Q26, the oxidation number of metal ions werere not given and in Q28, (a, b) instructions were not given.

He said in Series-B, Chemical equation in Q6 was not given correctly. In Q25 (b), the name of polymer is spelled wrongly and Q28 (c) was similar to Q16 (b).

He said due to such discrepancies in paper, students got confused.

The HP board should provide grace marks to accommodate the students.
