Around 200 students of Shimla Nursing College in Shurala were educated on the latest trends in cybercrime during a cybercrime awareness workshop organised by the Shimla Cyber Crime Police Station.

The workshop was conducted under the Himachal Team against Cyber Crime (HIMTAC) initiative and aimed to equip students with essential knowledge about online safety, particularly on social media platforms. Experts from the cyber crime police station provided valuable insights into safeguarding personal information and avoiding cyber threats.

Students were advised to exercise caution before sharing personal details online, protect themselves from online fraud, hacking and other cybercrimes, and utilise digital security tools effectively. They were also informed about their rights and the procedures for reporting cybercrimes.
