Expansion of ZP wards finalised

Deputy Commissioner DC Rana today issued the final orders for the expansion of Karyas, Sanwal, Chanju, Khani, Sunara, Bakhatpur, Sanuh, Chakloo, Sarol, Karian, Udaipur, Banet, Samot, Motla, Banikhet, Karwal, Kilod and Vyana wards of the Zila Parishad.

The DC said the election area of the Zila Parishad was named after the gram sabha having the maximum population in that area. At present, there are 18 Zila Parishad wards in the district. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
