Kamlesh Thakur cautions officials that negligence in implementing government schemes will not be tolerated
Dehra MLA Kamlesh Thakur has directed officials concerned of her constituency to accelerate development works under MGNREGA, 15th Finance Commission and various housing schemes.
She presided over a meeting of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department at Dehra today. Kamlesh, who is the wife of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Thakur, instructed the officials to speed up the work on ongoing projects and ensure that public welfare remains the government’s foremost priority. She cautioned them that any negligence in implementing government schemes would not be tolerated.
The MLA emphasised on transparency, accountability and timely execution and said that projects meant for poor and needy families should not face delays under any circumstances. She urged all officers and panchayat representatives to perform their duties with honesty and dedication, ensuring that quality standards were maintained in every village-level work.
Kamlesh said that the aim of the government was to make rural areas self-reliant and bring every panchayat into the mainstream of development. Officials presented progress reports of their departments and shared their future plans during the meeting.
She directed the officials that all pending works be completed within stipulated timelines so that the beneficiaries did not suffer due to administrative delays.
