World Mental Health Day was celebrated at Himachal Hospital of Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Shimla, today. The theme of the event was “It’s Time to Prioritise Mental Health at the Workplace”.

In her address, Senior Medical Superintendent Dr Surekha Chopra, who was the guest of honour at the event, emphasised the importance of mental health awareness and the need to integrate mental wellbeing into all areas of life, particularly within the workplace. She highlighted the essential role that healthcare professionals and organisations played in creating supportive environments for mental health.

Dr Kushel Verman and Dr Devika Chauhan spoke on the theme of the day, highlighting strategies to foster supportive work environments.

Dr Aditya Sharma provided insights on stress management and the importance of mental health.

Dr Gaurav Thakur emphasised the link between oral and dental care and overall mental wellbeing, showcasing an often-overlooked aspect of holistic health.
