Prof Himanshu Kumar Chaturvedi, Director of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, emphasised that sustainability has become the cornerstone of modern civilisation, asserting that long-term economic strength can only be achieved by maintaining harmony between development and the environment.

He was addressing participants at the three-day national seminar on “Harmonising Sustainability: Navigating Circular Economy for Sustainable Growth,” organised by IIAS in collaboration with the Department of Business Management, Saurashtra University, Rajkot (Gujarat).

The inaugural session was presided over by Prof KS Chandrasekhar, Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu, who delivered the keynote address highlighting the need to align economic growth with environmental preservation.
