Extend date for filling exam forms: ABVP

The ABVP has submitted a memorandum to the Controller of Examination to extend the date for filling up undergraduate and postgraduate examination forms. The ABVP said the students were not able to open their log-in IDs and could not fill examination forms. The ABVP said the date should be extended to facilitate such students who could not log in.

SFI to start membership campaign

The SFI will carry out a membership campaign in Shimla from February 21 to 25, and look to make 7,000 new members. The SFI said with membership of around 25 lakh across the country, it was one of the biggest student organisations. The body said in its 50 years of existence, the SFI has relentlessly raised the students’ issues and would continue doing so.

Scholarship for Hamirpur youth

Divyansh Thakur brought laurels to the town as he cleared the Junior Research Fellowship test with a score of 212, yesterday. He was one of the five candidates who qualified for anthropology for the assistant professor grade. Divyansh Thakur, while talking to the Tribune, said he cracked the JRF test by self-study, and did not go to any academy for coaching. He said he was thankful to his teachers at Him Academy Public School, who groomed his career. Divyansh had attained masters degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
