The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) here today kicked off Financial Literacy Week 2024 with the theme ‘Make a Right Start, Be Financially Smart’. The programme will continue till March 1. The programme was inaugurated by RBI Regional Director R.S. Amar at Gaiety Theatre. He emphasised on giving special importance on financial literacy among the youth.

In this programme, financial literacy camps will be organised by RBI officials in every district of the state. The RBI has also instructed all the banks operating in the country to organise as many financial literacy programmes as possible on the above themes for various groups of the society like schoolchildren, small entrepreneurs, farmers, self-help groups and senior citizens.

RBI will also make posters and broadcast television advertisements on the theme of financial literacy.
