Families of soldiers stationed near the India-Pakistan border have been sent home. It has also been learnt that the soldiers who had retired recently have been told to remain ready for the call of duty.

Notably, Hamirpur once had the maximum number of serving soldiers in the Indian defence services and still, the trend of joining the Army continues.

Family members of Army men from Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and other areas arrived at their respective homes.

The wife of a soldier stationed in the Jammu region told The Tribune that the situation was scary and the Pakistan army was trying to target military settlements.

Another woman of the district said that in eight years of service of her husband, she had never seen such a situation. She added that the station she was staying at was merely six to seven km away from the border.

The brave wives of soldiers want that the war should end conclusively. They said that infiltration was a regular feature from Pakistan border and this should be curbed once and for all.
