In a proactive move to promote the sport of fencing in the region, the Fencing Federation of Himachal Pradesh held a pivotal meeting at Army Public School (APS), Dagshai, where a series of initiatives aimed at nurturing young talent were outlined.

The meeting was chaired by Shadi Lal Goswami, president of the Fencing Federation of Himachal Pradesh, and focused on expanding access to professional training and competitive exposure for aspiring fencers.

A major decision taken during the session was to organise a fencing training camp at APS-Dagshai, catering to all age categories. The camp will be conducted under the expert supervision of Ruby Khan, a National Institute of Sports (NIS)-certified coach, with the goal of developing skills and identifying potential athletes for future competitions.

The federation also announced a district-level fencing competition to be held at the school in June.
