Fill vacant posts at anganwadi centres on priority: Chamba ADM
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Amit Mehra on Wednesday stressed the need to filling all vacant posts of anganwadi workers and helpers in the district on priority. Presiding over the District-Level Monitoring and Review Committee (DLMRC) meeting at district headquarters in Chamba, the ADM directed the District Programme Officer for Child Development to promptly initiate the process of filling up the vacancies.
He also reviewed the current status of ongoing construction of anganwadi centre buildings under the Aspirational District Programme and MGNREGA and instructed the District Development Officer to conduct reviews at regular intervals.On the non-availability of land of land for the construction of anganwadi buildings, Mehra instructed the authorities concerned to initiate the land transfer process under the Forest Rights Act (FRA).
District Child Development Programme Officer Rakesh Kumar said infrastructure-related work had been completed in all 100 anganwadi centres that were being upgraded as model centres. He further mentioned that RO units had been installed in these centres and LED TVs were installed in 25 centres.The meeting also included a detailed review of various schemes being implemented by the department, including the Special Nutrition Programme.
