Final ward delimitation notified for Banikhet, Chowari Nagar panchayats

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Mukesh Repaswal on Tuesday issued the final delimitation orders for the wards under Nagar Panchayat Chowari and Nagar Panchayat Banikhet.

According to the official notification, the process of ward delimitation and boundary definition was initiated on June 2 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission. No objections, suggestions, or representations were received from the public until the deadline of June 9. As a result, the final delimitation has been notified under the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Election Rules, 2015.

As per the final delimitation, both Nagar Panchayats — Chowari and Banikhet — will consist of seven wards each. Citizens seeking detailed information regarding the boundaries of individual wards can contact the office of the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or the Secretary of the respective Nagar Panchayat.

Under Nagar Panchayat Banikhet, the seven wards will be: Baikunth Nagar, Pukhri, Banikhet Bus Stand, Banikhet Jarei-I, Banikhet Jarei-II, Banikhet Village, and Padhar.

Similarly, the seven wards under Nagar Panchayat Chowari will include: Kuthed (Vikasnagar), Bhalada Ward, Trimath Ward, Sudli Ward, Medical Colony, Kasba Chowari, and Kasba Chowari-II.
