The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Shimla branch, in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, organised a financial literacy camp for the department’s employees to enhance their financial knowledge and skills. During the camp, the employees were made aware about various topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, retirement planning, cyber security, fraud protection and the role of the RBI Ombudsman in resolving banking complaints.
Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Kumar Yadav, General Manager, RBI, said this initiative reflects RBI’s commitment to promoting financial literacy and providing the necessary information and resources to help all community members secure their financial future.
Sameer Rastogi, Chief Conservator of Forests, Himachal Pradesh, also appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of financial literacy. He commended the collaborative efforts of RBI and the Forest Department in successfully organising the event.
