Fire destroys three-storey house in raavi

A devastating fire gutted a three-storey house in Raavi village under Bonda Panchayat, Rampur block, Shimla district, on Wednesday night. The house, belonging to Ajit Kumar, was completely destroyed, resulting in a loss worth lakhs. According to police reports, the fire broke out suddenly around 9 pm. Upon noticing the flames, local residents rushed to help and attempted to control the blaze. However, the fire was too intense, and despite their efforts, the house and all household belongings were completely reduced to ashes. A fire department vehicle reached the site, but by then, the flames had engulfed the entire structure, making it impossible to save. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. Patwari Abhishek and Panchayat Samiti member Yashpal Palsara visited the site. As immediate relief, Patwari Abhishek provided Rs 10,000, two tarpaulins, and two blankets to the affected family.
