An FIR has been registered against Digital Vision, a Kala Amb-based pharmaceutical company for manufacturing adulterated drugs. The charge of attempt to culpable homicide has also been incorporated in the FIR, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur told the House today.

Besides seizing the drug stock from the market, its production had been stopped and licence suspended till the inquiry was completed.

Making a statement on the action taken on a letter received from the Drug Controller, J and K, regarding infant mortalities which said as per the report of a government analyst, Coldbest, a PC syrup, manufactured by Digital Vision, contained more than 34 per cent diethylene glycol, causing death of an infant, he said assistant drug controller had registered an FIR against the firm.— TNS
