Forecast for snow, rainfall from today evening

The weather department has issued forecast for light snowfall at many places, with a few spells of moderate snowfall at some places in the high and mid hills of the state from tomorrow. The precipitation, likely to start from late night tomorrow, is likely to continue till the late night of January 16.

A few spells of light rainfall/snowfall, with one or two moderate spells, are also likely at the tourist destination like Naldehra, Manali and Shimla. A few spells of light snowfall, with one or two moderate spells in Kufri, Narkanda, Solang Valley and Sissu, are also expected.

There is a possibility of light rainfall with few spells of moderate rainfall likely over some parts of low hills/plain areas of the state.

A dense fog is likely to continue over isolated parts of the state from early morning to late night tomorrow.

Maximum temperature is likely to rise by two to four degree Celsius during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, maximum temperature are likely to fall by 4-5 degree Celsius over many parts of the state for the subsequent next 2-3 days. There will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next 48 hours, but it will fall by 2-4 degree Celsius in the subsequent 2-3 days.
