Chamba district witnessed widespread disruption on Thursday as fresh snowfall blanketed the higher reaches, while moderate to heavy rainfall lashed the lower areas. A total of 54 roads were blocked, with the maximum impact in the tribal Pangi subdivision, where 31 roads remain inaccessible. In Bharmour, 15 roads have been affected, and five roads have been blocked in Churah.

As per reports Pangi received 4 inches of snowfall, Bharmour town also experienced light snowfall. Famous tourist resorts of Dalhousie and Khajjiar were also blanketed in white while far of places like Salooni and Tissa also experienced snowfall. Widespread rainfall was recorded in low lying areas.

Major roads, including Chamba-Bharmour, Chamba-Holi, and Dalhousie-Khajjiar, are closed to traffic. Although the Chamba-Chowari road via Jot has been reopened, it remains unsafe for driving due to slippery conditions. Public Works Department (PWD) authorities have deployed men and machinery to restore connectivity across the district.
