From Tata to Zinta: Know the celebs with Shimla connection

The Shimla Municipal Corporation here today unveiled a wall display at the Scandal Point to make people aware about the prominent public figures associated with the town.
Information regarding notable personalities like Ratan Tata, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Kundal Lal Sehgal, Zia-ul Haq, Anupam Kher, Preity Zinta, Raj Kapoor, besides others has been displayed on the wall.
It also mentions the localities where these celebrities had lived, the time period for which they stayed there, besides other interesting facts about them.
Shimla Municipal Corporation Mayor Surender Chauhan, Municipal Commissioner Bhupinder Attri and other officials of the corporation were present at the inauguration of the wall display.
Talking to the media, the Mayor said several notable personalities had been associated with Shimla, about whom many people had a little knowledge.
This is an attempt to refresh the memory about the personalities who have been part of the hill town, the Mayor added.
