Students of Auckland House School and Government Model Girls Senior Secondary School, Portmore, will take part in various cultural performances at the historic Gaiety Theatre and Bantony Castle on September 3. This cultural programme is being organised under the aegis of the state’s Department of Language and Culture and the Gaiety Dramatic Society.

Bhanu Gupta, Joint Director, Department of Language and Culture, said that Auckland students would present a band performance at the Gaeity’’s amphitheatre while the Portmore students would present band performances, and folk songs and dances at the Bantony Castle.

“A storytelling session will also be held at the Gaeity’s conference hall. Here, noted litterateur Shrinivas Joshi will provide information on the art form,” Gupta said.
