GARBAGE can be seen littered on the road leading to lower Panthaghati from the Dhalli-Tutikandi highway in Shimla. Heaps of garbage there attract stray animals and act as breeding grounds for insects. This not only creates unhygienic conditions, but also hampers the beauty of the capital. Locals should ensure that garbage is kept outside their homes when the MC vehicle comes for collection in the morning to ensure its timely disposal. Meena, Vikasnagar
