Garbage dumped at overbridge

DISPOSABLE plates, juice packs and other trash is being thrown at the overbridge of the old bus stand here. This has made the bridge very squalid, besides attracting flies, which could lead to the spread of diseases. The municipal corporation should ensure that cleanliness is maintained across the town and should penalise those caught littering. Kamlesh, Shimla

Buses not plying to far-flung areas

MANY private buses are not plying to the far-flung areas, due to which villagers are facing a lot of inconvenience here. Despite being allowed permits to operate their buses in far-flung areas, private bus operators are not doing so. As a result, people here are deprived of transportation services. The authorities concerned are requested to look into the matter. Pradeep, Rampur
