Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have greeted the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

In his message, the Governor said that Gurpurab was the most sacred festival of Sikhs which was the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, their first Guru. He said people should follow teachings of Guru Nanak Dev for an enriched and peaceful life.

The Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev preached love, peace, communal harmony and selfless service to strengthen the bond of universal brotherhood. He said that Guru’s teachings were more relevant in the present day.
