Shimla: The Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) has shelved the Rs 250-crore Tutikandi-Jakhu ropeway project, the foundation stone of which was laid by former CM late Virbhadra Singh in the year 2016. The 3,500-m ropeway project was planned to be constructed from Tutikandi to Dada-Dadi Park, near Jodha Niwas in Jakhu. The construction work was also assigned to a company. As per SMC officials, the project has been cancelled as NOCs were not received from departments like the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). TNS
