Governor interacts with inmates of Nari Sadan, Balika Ashram
Extends Diwali greetings, encourages girl students to excel in life
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today visited the Nari Sewa Sadan and the Balika Ashram at Mashobra, near here, today. Accompanied by Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, he extended Diwali greetings to the inmates of the Nari Sadan and the Balika Ashram and distributed sweets among them.
The Governor interacted with students at the Balika Ashram and said, “Education plays a vital role in shaping one’s life.” He urged them to work hard to achieve their goals to become self-reliant. “Never let your enthusiasm fade and always strive to contribute towards the progress of the nation,” he added.
Shukla said, “Himachal Pradesh is the land of deities and its festivals are deeply rooted in the rich Dev Sanskriti of the state. Our emotions and values should remain connected to these divine traditions.”
The Governor said that children from such institutions should be given equal opportunities to express their potential and encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities, which would provide them with a suitable platform to display their skills and confidence. CP Verma, Secretary to the Governor, and district administration officers were also present on the occasion.
