The Governor offered prayers at the revered shrine dedicated to Sage Markandeya.

On the occasion, he prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. “Sage Markandeya was regarded in the Hindu mythology as one of the most devout followers of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The temple holds immense religious significance and was one of the most important spiritual sites in the region,” he said.

May Sage Markandeya continue to protect and bless the people of the state,” he said.
