Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today condoled the death of Anand Bodh, Senior Assistant Editor of The Times of India. Bodh (50) passed away last night due to a cardiac arrest in Shimla. Hailing from Lahaul, Bodh had been reporting for Times of India for more than a decade from Shimla. Earlier, he was posted in Chandigarh.

He worked for Amar Ujala, Indian Express and Times of India in his close to two-and-a-half decade long career. He was cremated at Bhuntar in Kullu today. Bodh is survived by his wife and a son.

In his condolence message, the Governor highlighted Bodh’s unwavering dedication to journalism and his remarkable ability to bring attention to crucial issues concerning the state.

“Bodh’s deep understanding of the state’s dynamics and his commitment to truthful reporting made him a highly respected figure in the media community. It’s a big loss for the journalistic fraternity and all who valued his insights. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time,” said the Governor.

The Chief Minister recalled Bodh’s long-standing service in Shimla and his roots in the state, which gave him a unique perspective on the state’s issues.

“Bodh’s dedication to highlighting issues and his prioritisation of state’s interests were commendable,” the CM said, while expressing deep sympathies with the bereaved family. Several other leaders also condoled Bodh’s demise.
