Govt considering demands of HPSEB employees: Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu
Shimla, January 18
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said that the state government was committed to the welfare of the employees of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) Ltd and their demands were being considered sympathetically.
He presided over a meeting with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the electricity board employees and engineers here. The financial and technical aspects of the old pension scheme (OPS) and other demands of the employees were discussed at length with the committee.
Sukhu said that the government had always been sensitive towards the interests of its employees and numerous decisions had been taken for their welfare. “We have taken many measures to ensure fiscal discipline and management in the state. The financial position and functioning of government boards, corporations and other institutions are being strengthened. The government is also committed to improving the financial condition of the HPSEB and protecting the interests the employees,” he added.
Sukhu’s Principal Media Adviser Naresh Chauhan, Principal Secretary Bharat Khera, convener of the Joint Action Committee Lokesh Thakur, co-conveners Heera Lal Verma and Laxman Kapta were also present.
