Govt ‘misusing’ funds of central schemes: MLA
Bilaspur MLA Trilok Jamwal today accused the Himachal Government of financial mismanagement and misusing money received under various centrally-sponsored schemes.
Jamwal, while talking to mediapersons at Bilaspur, said that the state was on the verge of bankruptcy due to financial mismanagement by the Congress government.
He alleged, “The state government is transferring central scheme funds lying in the form of fixed deposits in banks to its own treasury. On February 14, the government issued an order that Rs 500 crore meant for land acquisition for railway projects and kept in 11 banks may be transferred to miscellaneous accounts and used for expenditure purpose.”
Jamwal said that such financial mismanagement and irresponsible behaviour of the government would result in huge escalation of cost of most of the projects. “To make matters worse, the state government has issued a letter for the use of money offered in temples by pilgrims for schemes such as the Sukh Ashray Yojana and the Mukhya Mantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana, which is very wrong,” the MLA alleged.
