Himachal Govt to provide Rs 1K cr state’s share for setting up Una bulk drug park

The state government has decided to provide Rs 1,000 crore as its share of the capital cost for the construction of the Rs 1,923-crore bulk drug park at Haroli in Una district.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today. The Cabinet gave the go-ahead to providing the state’s share of capital cost of Rs 1,000 crore for the key project. The Central Government and the state would share the construction cost of the project; the Union Government would provide Rs 923 crore as grant-in aid.
The Cabinet decided to grant child care leave for a maximum period of 730 days to women government employees during their entire service for taking care of their children with 40 per cent minimum disability. It also gave approval for the declaration of land acquisition and compensation to the families being affected by the expansion of the Kangra airport.
The Cabinet gave nod to bringing additional areas of Retreat, Mashobra, Band Tukda, Andri, Shiv Mandi, Andri, Tal and Giri, DPF, Khalini, Bishop Cotton School, Mist Chamber and Pari Mahal under the ambit of the green area in the Shimla Development Plan.
It accepted the recommendations of the Cabinet sub-committee on the pending results for the posts of Junior Office Assistant and gave permission to the HP Rajya Chayan Aayog, Hamirpur, to declare the final results of both post codes.
The Cabinet also gave nod to filling 486 posts of lecturer (physical education), 245 of special educator and 157 supernumerary posts of principal, school cadre, in the Education Department. It gave permission for filling 53 posts of different categories of fire officer and other officials and 60 posts of police personnel in the Home Department, besides 30 posts of different categories in the HP Rajya Chayan Aayog, Hamirpur.
The Cabinet gave approval for the launch of the Himachal Pradesh State Award for School Teachers Scheme, 2024, to recognise the outstanding services of teachers and the creation of a state fund dedicated to the welfare of persons with disabilities.
The Cabinet decided to create the Department of Cardiology at Government Medical College, Hamirpur, and purchase two PET scan machines for the IGMC, Shimla, and Tanda medical college in Kangra and one SPECT scan machine for the IGMC, Shimla.
It gave nod to setting up a ropeway from Baba Balak Nath temple at Deotsidh in Hamirpur district to facilitate pilgrims. It decided to continue the agreement for operating flights between Shimla and Dharamsala for all seven days of the week.
