State BJP president Rajeev Bindal today alleged that while the Congress is preparing to celebrate its three-year rule in the state, the fact was that the last three years were marred by administrative collapse, mounting debt and public distress. Addressing media persons at the party office in Una, he said the BJP will hold a protest in Dharamsala on December 4 against the failures of the Congress government.

The Congress government in Himachal will complete three years in office on December 11 and as per media reports, the state government is preparing to celebrate this occasion in Mandi. He said the performance of the government during these three years was not worthy of celebrations, adding that the period witnessed large-scale deterioration of all public systems.

Bindal said the people of the state have been put under massive debt and the Sukhu government has failed to utilise these loan amount for the welfare of the people. He said the unemployed youth of the state were feeling cheated by unfulfilled promise of employment generation, one of the poll ‘guarantees’ of the Congress.

Instead of providing jobs, the government has abolished nearly 1.5 lakh government posts, he said, adding that the youth of the state were being exploited in the name of “Mitras” such as Rogi Mitra, Van Mitra and the like, which have no provision for regularisation.

Bindal said this was the same government which came to power on the basis of false guarantee like giving Rs 1,500 per month to 28 lakh women, assured permanent jobs up to the age of 58 years and major decisions in the very first Cabinet meeting. Today, he said all these promises have turned out to be hollow.
