Gram Sabha meetings in Mandi from May 25

In a bid to enhance the effectiveness of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, Mandi’s Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan has announced special Gram Sabha meetings across all gram panchayats on May 25 and 29. These meetings aim to raise awareness among eligible farmers and ensure accurate updating of the scheme’’s beneficiary database.

The primary focus is to identify farmers who are eligible but not yet enrolled under the scheme, as well as to remove names of deceased beneficiaries. This will help in maintaining a clean and updated list of recipients, thereby improving transparency and the efficient delivery of benefits.

Revenue officials and patwaris will assist in the data collection during the meetings, and the updated information will be uploaded to the PM-KISAN portal by May 31. The initiative forms a crucial part of the government’s mission to make the scheme more accountable.
