Dharamsala, July 28

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, national general secretary of the Congress, today termed former Congress minister late GS Bali as Vikas Purush from her twitter handle.

The tweet of Priyanka Gandhi for the late Congress minister on whose birthday yesterday, Congress launched its Rozgar Sangarsh Yatra and promised to provide Rs 1.25 lakh permanent government jobs to youth in Himachal is being seen as an endorsement for RS Bali, AICC secretary and son of GS Bali.

RS Bali is likely to contest the Assembly elections on the Congress ticket from Nagrota Bagwan. The constituency was considered a bastion of GS Bali as he won from here there.

RS Bali was trying to fill the boots of his father in the assembly constituency. He is presently riding sympathy wave which was evident from thousands of people coming to Bal Mela organized by the family in Nagorta Bagwan to mark the birthday of the late GS Bali.

Bali used to celebrate his birthday as Bal Mela in Nagrota Bagwan from July 25 to July 27 every year. The family continued the tradition this year even after his death.

RS Bali managed to gather the entire Congress leadership from state and party in-charge Rajiv Shukla at the event organised to memorize his father at Nagrota Bagwan.
