‘Guest teacher’ scheme against job aspirants: Himachal BJP chief Rajeev Bindal
UNA, JANUARY 14
BJP state president Rajeev Bindal today charged that the Congress government had completed 13 months in office and its performance has been dismal. Addressing media persons on the sidelines of the district Scheduled Caste Morcha meeting at the BJP office in the city, he said ‘guarantees’ still needed to be fulfilled and the state government had already taken loans worth Rs 14,000 crore.
Bindal said the government had planned another loan of Rs 1,000 crore. At this rate, the government will burden the state with huge debt in the time to come. Bindal charged that the ‘Guest Teacher’ scheme initiated by the state government was against the educated and qualified teachers who are waiting for government jobs.
The BJP president said the hill state had slipped to the 18th place in the country in sanitation as against the fourth position held by the state during the last year of the Jai Ram government.
Bindal said the previous BJP government had decided to give 125 units of free electricity to poor households, but according to his information, the Congress government is putting a rider on the facility to close or narrow down the benefits of the scheme.
Bindal later led a sanitation drive at Sheetla Temple and Gurdwara Shaheedan located as part of the ‘Swachh Teerth Abhiyan’ initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
