Education Minister Rohit Thakur today extended a formal invitation to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to preside as chief guest at the Teachers’ Day celebration scheduled for September 5.

During a courtesy call at Raj Bhavan, the minister apprised the Governor of various initiatives being implemented by the State Government to strengthen the education system. He highlighted measures aimed at enhancing the quality of education, improving school infrastructure, and expanding digital learning facilities across Himachal Pradesh.

Governor Shukla lauded these efforts, remarking that education is the cornerstone of social and national progress. He said Himachal has always been admired for its rich academic tradition, and it is vital to modernise the system to meet the aspirations of today’s youth.
