Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced that health cards would soon be issued for all children residing in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) across the district to ensure timely and proper medical care.
Chairing a review meeting of the District Child Welfare and Protection Committee and the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, he stated that personal files containing complete records of every child would also be maintained and regularly updated.
Kashyap emphasised the holistic development, safety and rehabilitation of children under the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana. He instructed departments to actively monitor the beneficiaries and promptly address their needs.
From January 1, 2025, 10 children have been adopted. Educational tours to Goa, Delhi, Agra and Chandigarh were conducted for children from Bal Ashram Tutikandi and Balika Ashram Mashobra.
