Heavy rain forecast in 4 Himachal districts today

Shimla, August 2
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning in Kangra, Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur districts tomorrow even as rescue operations were underway to locate persons who had gone missing following a cloudburst in Shimla, Mandi and Kullu districts.
As per the weather forecast, the low and middle hills of the state will receive rainfall over the next two days. The rain is likely to continue all over the state till August 7. The government has asked people not to go near the rivers or nullahs that were in spate and due to the possibility of flashfloods and cloudbursts.
The IMD has warned that essential services like water, electricity and communication services may get disrupted and fruit and other standing crops in Kangra, Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur districts may suffer damage.
