Heavy rain lashes parts of Himachal Pradesh

Moderate to heavy rain lashed several parts of the state today. The local Met office has issued a yellow warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in lower and mid hills tomorrow and a thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in lower, mid and high hills from July 16 to 18.

Dharamsala received 105 mm of rain, Jawali (86 mm), Paonta (74 mm), Palampur (68 mm), Sunni and Kahu (62 mm each), Bharari (49 mm), Bhoranj (44 mm), Kalatop (42 mm), Sarkaghat (41 mm), Sundernagar and Dalhousie (39 mm each), Baijnath (35 mm), Kangra and Gumarwin (33 mm), Kasauli (30 mm), Jubbarhatti (28 mm), Kandaghat (26 mm), Shilaroo (25 mm), Narkanda (24 mm), Nalagarh (22 mm), Bijahi, Kothi and Kotkhai (18 mm each), Shimla (17 mm) and Nagrota Surian (16 mm). Keylong was the coldest at 12.4°C while Una was the hottest at 34.8°C.
