Heavy rain to lash Himachal from October 5-7; orange, yellow alert issued
The weather was mostly dry in the state during the last 24 hours
Himachal Pradesh is set to witness a spell of heavy rain tomorrow onwards. The state’s Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow warnings of heavy rainfall in various districts till October 7.
The department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in all 12 districts, besides hail, thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds at isolated places across the state. Similarly, an orange alert for heavy rain in Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti districts has been issued for October 6, besides a few spells of very heavy rainfall in isolated places of these districts.
Meanwhile, the weather was mostly dry in the state during the last 24 hours. The maximum temperatures were 2°C to 3°C above normal in the range of 19°C to 36°C while the minimum temperatures were 2°C to 4°C, ranging between 3°C to 24°C.
The maximum temperature in Shimla was 22.6°C, Dharamsala (28.1°C), Manali (22.5°C), Solan (29°C), Kangra (31°C), Mandi (29.8°C), Bilaspur (33°C), Bhuntar (30.6°C), Hamirpur (30.9°C), Nahan (27.4°C), Sundernagar (32.3°C), Reckong Peo (25.9°C), Kalpa (22.5°C), Kufri (19.3°C) and Narkanda (19.1°C).
